Sleep needs

  • Newborns need 14-17 hours of sleep per day.
  • Infants need 12-15 hours of sleep per day.
  • Toddlers need 11-14 hours of sleep per day.
  • Preschoolers need 10-13 hours of sleep per day.
  • School-age kids need 9-11 hours of sleep per day.
  • Teens need 8-10 hours of sleep per day.
  • Younger adults need 7-9 hours of sleep per day.
  • Older adults need 7-8 hours of sleep per day.
  • Everyone's sleep needs are different.
