At one time, hospitals were the main place to get care for serious health conditions like cancer. 
But today, patients and their caregivers have choices outside the hospital. For example, cancer patients can save time and money by receiving infusion therapy within the same office that they see their doctor. 
Patients who don&rsquo;t need to be hospitalized, can go to a specially designed medical office for cancer-related treatments such as:

 <li>Chemotherapy</li>
 <li>Pain medications</li>
 <li>Vitamins</li>
 <li>Antibiotics</li>
</ul>
Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona (BCBSAZ) contracts with <a href="https://www.cancercenter.com/western/" target="_blank">Cancer Treatment Centers of America&reg; (CTCA)</a>. Patients and their doctors can determine which type of CTCA&reg; setting is right for their cancer treatments.&nbsp; 
 
CTCA hospitals and Outpatient Care Centers are available to BCBSAZ members who have insurance through their employer. Eligible members must have a Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) plan or a Health Maintenance Organization (HMO) plan with the Statewide network.*&nbsp;

What can patients expect at one of CTCA&rsquo;s new offices?&nbsp;&nbsp; 
 
The new CTCA Outpatient Care Centers are different than hospitals because they were designed to serve a specific need. When patients arrive at a CTCA office for treatment, the medical team will make them as comfortable as possible. Patients will have a private chair with their own television and a chair for a caregiver, if needed. Additional supportive care services may also be available, including nutritional and spiritual counseling.&nbsp;&nbsp;
